I will definitely do this once Windows 10 fully gets unveiled. From a business stand point, there's no reason for them to continue investing money and time into it BUT I want bootcamp on my machine and I HOPE they spend more time developing it better, especially for the fusion drives.Įdit2: Nice guide. I wouldn't be surprised if it's being phased out / abandoned. I'm not too happy how ignored the bootcamp feature has been. I ran across it but I figured it wasn't related to my situation. This is the issue / "solution" I got that made me go the windows 7 route. I much rather install Windows 10 directly and still get a snappy load time like I had the first time I put bootcamp on my new machine (imac5k). I'm just going to hope El Captain's disk utility and new bootcamp update (I hope) will fix this issue. I'm not sure what happened because BEFORE when I install bootcamp on the same machine, it would let me partition without a fuss.
It took longer to boot up and everything. I ran into an issue about partition my hd to install bootcamp and at one point ran through a tutorial to basically restructure my hard drive.
